Gurukul Overview
Geeta Dham Gurukul Senior Secondary Vidya Mandir, Tinwari
Founded in 1994 with just five students, Geeta Dham Gurukul Senior Secondary Vidya Mandir is the living vision of Shri Shri 1008 Swami Harihar Ji Maharaj, who believed that true societal transformation begins with children — “Give me a child and I will return you a Mahapurush.”
Today, the Gurukul has grown into a thriving institution nurturing 426 students (boys and girls) in the academic year 2025–26. Of these, 157 students reside on campus, while others commute from surrounding villages, supported by four school buses covering a 20 km radius. Guided by an experienced Principal and committed faculty, the Gurukul follows a distinctive educational model that blends academic excellence, self-learning, moral values, and spiritual grounding.
Education with Purpose
The Gurukul has built a strong academic legacy, with alumni serving the nation as IAS officers, doctors, engineers, armed forces personnel, and teachers. Holistic development is central to the learning experience, integrating academics with sports, culture, discipline, and spirituality.
Scholarships & Student Support (SACS)
Through the Sponsor a Child Scheme (SACS), the top 15 students from a competitive Class 5 examination receive free education, boarding, and lodging, extendable up to Class 12 based on performance and conduct. Additional scholarships support students excelling in sports, cultural or spiritual activities, and those from economically weaker backgrounds. Currently, 123 students benefit from SACS.
Sports, Culture & Spirituality
- Sports: A newly developed national-level sports facility integrates regular training into the curriculum. Gurukul students consistently secure district-level positions, with 10 students selected at the state level in 2025–26, including a district volleyball championship win.
- Cultural Activities: Students actively participate in dance, music, drama, and public speaking throughout the year. The annual cultural program ‘Ek Shaam Gurukul ke Naam’ is widely recognized and celebrated.
- Spiritual Education: Daily Geeta havans, structured Geeta studies with assessments, weekly online Geeta classes, and large-scale public processions during Geeta Jayanti form the spiritual backbone of the institution.
Discipline & Leadership (NCC)
The Gurukul was directly offered NCC accreditation, reinforcing discipline, leadership, and public service. Each year, 80 students from Classes XI–XII undergo training for the NCC ‘B’ Certificate under qualified Associate NCC Officers.
Campus & Facilities
Set within a serene and secure campus, the Gurukul features well-ventilated classrooms, science laboratories, library, and a multipurpose sports ground. Modern amenities include smart classrooms, CCTV surveillance (60+ cameras), pure drinking water, power backup, and digital connectivity.

Sponsor a child scheme (SACS):
Under this scheme, donors can sponsor one or more students at the Geeta Dham School. The sponsorship is valid for the period July to June and is renewed every year.
The sponsorship scheme starts from Class VI and is based on a TALENT TEST to select students. Added to these are students who qualify under the ‘Family Means criteria’, ‘Sports activities criteria”, “Cultural activities criteria”, “Staff children criteria” & “Primary Class criteria’. Continuation of the specific sponsorship over next higher class is subject to the student’s performance. In addition, the Sponsorship program covers the free pre-primary and primary classes at the School.
Sponsors will receive regular reports on the student’s progress, on their email address provided to us.
The sponsor fund per student, per year (USD 365 or INR 18000) is defrayed over his fees and other expenses at the school and a part of this is also used in the common pool of expenses, covering sports, cultural and other activities conducted at the school.
